AEO tool comparison for B2C enterprises: eleven options, different jobs
Choose an AEO tool by the evidence it can supply and the work your team needs to complete. This comparison is for banks, insurers, retailers, ecommerce businesses and other large consumer organisations. Some products connect measurement to content creation, some join AI visibility with a broader search platform, and others supply a focused reporting or managed-service workflow.
Our Top 5 enterprise shortlist is Profound, Conductor, Semrush Enterprise AIO, Peec AI and Scrunch. The broader comparison below also covers the options that may suit an existing tool stack, a specialist workflow or an early-access evaluation. Inclusion is not a HolistiCRM partnership or a statement that every integration has been built.
All capabilities below are documented vendor claims checked on 10 October 2026. “Not established” means the reviewed public material did not resolve the question; it does not mean the feature is absent. Subscription, geography and account configuration can change what is available.
Brand monitoring, product-shopping analysis, local-store facts and catalog freshness are different capabilities. A brand may be mentioned while the answer names the wrong product variant or branch. The sector checks below define what a useful pilot should demonstrate without assuming that all eleven options supply every operational dataset.

|---|---|---|---|---|
| Profound | Answer/citation/competitor analysis; enterprise language/region configuration; ChatGPT Shopping | Configurable content agents and brand-source Fact Check | Enterprise CSV/JSON/API; Shopping and market entitlement to confirm | Consumer-brand measurement, content operations and a scoped shopping pilot. | Geolix.ai | Market, audience and intent analysis; Western/Chinese engine coverage | Managed GEO iteration, on/offsite work and source opportunities | REST v1 beta and MCP; AgentSuite advertised as coming soon | Cross-market managed work or a beta data-access pilot. Services, API |
| WebCEO | SEO measurement and AI Search Readiness/reporting evidence; exact AEO engine fields need inspection | SEO Content Assistant, audits, task management and reporting | Documented SEO JSON API, white-label reports and analytics connectors; AEO endpoints unverified | Existing SEO/reporting foundation with an inspected AI-search report. Tools, API, AI-report customer account |
The final column is an editorial fit assessment. It is not a controlled accuracy ranking. Engine counts do not establish accuracy for a specific banking product, insurance policy, store or ecommerce catalog. Shopping-analysis scope also differs from general answer-engine coverage.
| Sector | Required source of truth | What the evaluation must demonstrate |
|---|---|---|
| Banking | Approved, dated product conditions, eligibility, fees and exceptions | Trace checked claims to the correct product/version; distinguish recommendation from factual accuracy. |
| Insurance | Current approved policy wording, coverage, exclusions, limits and claims guidance | Detect omitted exclusions and unsupported coverage promises; retain policy and market context. |
| Retail/store networks | Maintained location pages and authoritative branch/service/offer records | Resolve the correct store and verify address, hours and local services; report local accuracy separately from national mentions. |
| Ecommerce | Timestamped product/variant catalog, product pages, offer/availability and delivery/returns records | Match the correct item and variant; inspect stated price and stock separately; preserve source and observation time. |
| Travel, telecom and adjacent consumer services | Approved market/location, service-package and cancellation information | Preserve the actual service scope and customer eligibility; use comparable market-specific questions. |
Use approved snapshots or a permitted data connection for the pilot. Catalog ingestion is not evidence of continuous inventory synchronisation, and a dashboard’s national country filter does not prove store-level measurement. Document missing fields and unsupported environments instead of turning them into zero scores.
| Tool or group | Important distinction | What to preserve in a pilot |
|---|---|---|
| Profound | The vendor describes consumer-experience collection; native visibility has its own denominator. | Raw answers, brand inclusion rules and the denominator. Collection, metric overview |
| Conductor | API-first collection is described where possible; prompt demand is not the whole market. | Engine/mode and how the question set was formed. Collection documentation |
| Peec AI | UI scraping; most platforms follow logged-out model/search selection; Shopping currently uses ChatGPT data. | Session state, engine, actual search behaviour and product/brand metric scope. Introduction, Shopping scope |
| Scrunch | Its collection/analysis workflow uses different mechanisms; Grok lacks citation data. | Response-level grain and unsupported fields. AI usage, engine limitations |
| OtterlyAI | Claude is documented as Sonnet API with web search; some engines are add-ons. | API versus UI evidence and exact add-on scope. Engine help |
| Ayzeo | Its citation definition can include a URL visited during research. | Research visitation separately from a displayed answer link. Workflow |
| Geolix.ai | The documented beta API includes raw Q&A, cited domains/URLs and scoped keys. | Beta status, project scope and actual run/source records. API |
| Other candidates | Raw-response availability or collection details remain partly unverified in reviewed material. | Demonstrated sample export before defining a common score. |
MCP, or Model Context Protocol, allows an AI application to access exposed tool data or operations. Its existence does not establish unrestricted exports, every REST endpoint, or permission to send client, customer or non-public product information to another AI provider.
Keep native scores available. Calculate common mention, recommendation and citation rates only when the underlying observations and definitions support it. Do not average incompatible vendor percentages into a “super score”.
| Tool | Relevant public evidence | Appropriate interpretation |
|---|---|---|
| Profound | Plaid, Ramp, Estée Lauder partnership, Coterie testimonial, and Target/Walmart/U.S. Bank customer attribution | Fintech cases, beauty-portfolio announcement and shopping product-use statement. Named retail/bank customers have no individual outcome established by that announcement. |
| Conductor | Citi, Zurich North America, Zurich UK, Title Nine, and Overdrive | Citi/North America are SEO history; Zurich UK concerns AI citation relevance; Title Nine covers retail/ecommerce AEO; Overdrive is agency reporting. |
| Semrush Enterprise AIO | Hertz Iceland, LG, Samsung, and Bajaj Finserv | Hertz is a named Enterprise AIO travel case. Electronics and financial-services cases describe enterprise search/SEO operations; no SKU/inventory or bank-AEO accuracy result established. |
| Peec AI | Momentum case | Software customer example. No measured retail/insurance customer outcome established in this review; example brands are not references. |
| Scrunch | Akamai AXP case and Lenovo/Skims public customer list | Akamai is a technology delivery case. Consumer-brand customer attribution is not a measured store, catalog or insurance outcome. |
| OtterlyAI | Feature-page testimonials and examples | BAT CX testimonial and Bacula software example; no direct B2C sector outcome verified in this review. |
| Ayzeo | Named public testimonials | Agency/service customer statements; no measured banking, insurance or retail outcome verified here. |
| Nimt | Public logo associations | Associations such as Storytel and Polar; no individual sector outcome established. |
| NIOS | Team and programme information | Background/programme evidence; not a customer outcome. |
| Geolix.ai | Service descriptions | Published delivery approach; no named banking, insurance or retail outcome verified here. |
| WebCEO | 3R AI-reporting account and user reviews | Vendor SEO/AI-reporting evidence; separate from HolistiCRM’s portfolio and results. |
| Persona | Useful evidence | Acceptance test |
|---|---|---|
| Marketing manager | Topic/persona gaps, competitor sources and ranked briefs | A finding becomes a clear content priority with a named owner. |
| Product/category manager | Observed claim, source passage and the current approved product, policy, catalog or location fact | The reviewer can accept, reject or correct the interpretation. |
| Search/analytics lead | Repeatable run configuration, raw records, failure and citation rules | Comparable cells can be reproduced and joined without silently losing runs. |
| Procurement manager | Delivery scope, exports, access, contractual/data controls and reference provenance | Evidence and handover remain available under the actual contracted setup. |
For each shortlisted tool, run the same disclosed questions where equivalent conditions are available. Record unsupported cases rather than treating them as zero visibility. Review current vendor evidence for identity, data processing, hosting, retention and subprocessors before selecting the organisation’s configuration.
A combined HolistiCRM workflow
Our completed GINOP agent provides a base for a client-specific AEO/GEO workflow. We select and validate external outputs, maintain common definitions, check approved facts and prepare custom reports and content briefs. The configuration is driven by the assignment; adapter availability and permitted data use are established before delivery commitments.
Tools already provide recommendations, content work and automation. HolistiCRM combines documented banking experience, AI development knowledge and SEO/AEO judgement with the assignment’s approved domain inputs and accountable implementation planning. Other sectors require their own product, policy, catalog or location specialists and fact sources. The goal is evidence that each stakeholder can use, with comparable follow-up after approved changes.
